Practice Before You Chase Progress

A framework for building sessions that respect skill, fatigue, and a full adult life.

Four Questions Before A Session

  1. What Is Available Today?

Consider sleep, stress, soreness, time, and the equipment at hand.

  2. What Skill Is The Focus?

Choose a movement quality rather than asking every exercise to do everything.

  3. How Will Effort Be Described?

Use repetitions in reserve or a simple effort scale so intensity stays observable.

  4. What Makes Tomorrow Possible?

Finish with enough composure to return to work, family, and the next practice.

Training Is A Conversation

Good programming responds to evidence from the body. A plan can be specific without becoming rigid, and disciplined without turning every missed session into a moral story.
